Object Name Breastplate
Description Civil war era breastplate commonly worn on cartridge sling box. The front of the breastplate is an eagle with spread wings grasping three arrows and a branch. This was found on the battlefield at Gettysburg.
Found Gettysburg
Provenance Found on the Battlefield at Gettysburg and brought back to Lambertville, NJ. It was formerly in the Collection of the Grand Army of the Republic Post 20 Lambertville.
