Object Name Painting
Description Portrait of Anna Hope Foster ca. 1830. Subject is wearing a white and gray lace trimmed bonnet, black dress, white and gray shawl over shoulders, sliver eye glasses. She is shown with her arms cross seated in a chair. Background paint dark brown.
The portrait is not signed, but is believed to be done by Clinton artist William Bonnell. The portrait is in the typical style of early 18th century Pennsylvania portraits.
