Admin/Biographical History Administrative/Biographical History: The Robbins family lived in Bloomsbury, New Jersey from the 1750s, descending from Jonathan Robins and his family, who owned a significant portion of land in the area. Ella Marion Crissman Huff, a Robbins family descendant, began extensive research into the family's history until her death in 1955. Her daughter, Ruth H. Allen, and her husband, Charles J. Allen, continued this research. Ruth was born in Warren Glen and grew up in Bloomsbury, and was buried alongside her husband in the Presbyterian Church cemetery in Bloomsbury after both of them passed in 2015. Their four children, through Terrence J. Allen, their son and personal representative of Ruth H. Allen's Estate, chose to donate these items to HCHS.
